Proposed technologies must be deployment-ready and improve operations through increases in staff capacity, effectiveness, and efficiency or reductions in administrative burden.
A panel of Sourcewell representatives, members, and industry experts will evaluate all eligible submissions to the Sourcewell Ventures Civic Solutions Challenge.
Evaluation Metrics
- IMPACT (20 points): Is the proposed technology likely to make positive impacts on governmental operations?
- TEAM (20 points): Does the submission include sufficient information about the experience and responsibilities of the delivery team?
- INNOVATION (20 points): Does the proposed technology offer unique performance and/or capabilities?
- COMMERCIAL READINESS (15 points): Is the proposed technology likely to be ready for pilot-scale testing within 12 months?
- EXPERIENCE (10 points): Does the respondent have previous experience collaborating with a government or educational agency?
- ADOPTION (10 points): Is the proposed technology likely to be easily adopted by public agencies?
- QUALITY (5 points): Does the proposal include compelling, engaging information about the proposing organization, their technology, and their goals?
Respondents must select a single key focus area and describe how the technology addresses it.
TechConnect encourages respondents to include a Letter of Support from a municipality or government/educational agency with whom they have engaged with previously, although it is not required.
